Information for Presenters

Posters – Primrose, Level C (to the right of Hotel Registration), Cliff Lodge

  • Poster Slam (5 – 6:20 pm MST, March 7 ,Thursday and March 8, Friday in Primrose Level C) – Each poster is allocated up to 3 minutes to present an executive summary of the research context, questions, methods, and findings in no more than four MS Powerpoint slides (including the title slide). On the day of Poster Session I or II, poster slam presenters need to gather by 4:45 pm MST in Primrose Level C. The order of the slam presentations is the same as the order of posters shown in the program.
  • Poster Slam Slides – Please email your poster slam slides to winter@gkmc.utah.edu by 9 AM MST on March 6 (Wednesday). Include your Poster Slam Session No., Poster No., and Presenter Name in the subject line of your email.
  • Poster Size and Template – Each poster is limited to 4 feet high by 3 feet wide in size. Please download and use this template file to format your poster. This template is standardized for the poster printing service and the poster boards we will provide. Please contact the conference organizers at winter@gkmc.utah.edu for any questions regarding this template. Our poster boards are 8 feet wide and 4 feet high. Four poster presenters will share a board (two on each side). Pin tacks will be available.
  • Poster Printing – The conference organizers can help print posters at the University of Utah with the generous support of the Operations Team at the David Eccles School of Business at no charge to you. We hope this service can help make your travel lighter. Email the poster file in PDF format (not PPT) to winter@gkmc.utah.edu by 9 AM MST on February 27 (Wednesday). Include your Poster Slam Session No., Poster No., and your contact info in the subject line of your email. In case of issues, we will need to contact you about your poster files. Please understand that we cannot guarantee the printing of posters that are submitted late. Do email us in case you might need one or two days of extension. It helps for us to give the Operations Team some notice for potential accommodations of late printing.
  • Poster Setup Period (4 pm to 4:45 pm MST on March 7 or 8)
  • Poster Viewing Period (6:30 – 8:15 pm MST on March 7 or 8) – We ask the presenters of posters to meet and interact with participants about their posters while enjoying the reception dinner by the poster boards.

Regular Sessions I, II, III, IV, V and VI – Primrose, Level C (to the right of Hotel Registration), Cliff Lodge

  • Please limit paper presentation including Q/A to 16 minutes long.
  • A laptop will be available for PPT presentation.
  • Please email your presentation to winter@gkmc.utah.edu by 4 pm on March 7 or bring it on your flash drive to the conference.
